One of the many assets that I will bring to West Haven City as mayor is my broad, diverse professional experience. I’ve gained valuable insights from every role I’ve held. Currently, I am employed with Commercial Contracting Group (CCG)  as the Director of Architectural Products where I lead a team of designers, project coordinators, project managers, and account managers. Together, we fulfill national contracts for workspace furniture and design for a variety of clients, including offices and schools.

My focus in this role is on building strong relationships and ensuring our team consistently performs at a high level—an asset I bring to the table as your Mayor.

Additionally, I have experience running a successful business. At Sierra RV and Blue Compass RV, I was responsible for day-to-day operations, serving as Sales Manager and second-in-command behind the owner. I was accountable for the performance of 68 employees.

This experience gives me team management and empowerment skills to bring to my service as West Haven mayor. 

In 2006, I completed the extensive coursework required to earn a broker’s license. While this has not been my primary occupation for 12 years, my real estate experience is highly valuable as the City negotiates with developers. I bring insights that will help protect the City’s interests, prevent developers from taking advantage of the City, and ensure responsible development.

My management style centers on helping each team member reach their full potential while maintaining accountability. My strength lies in creating clear, actionable plans for success—both for individuals and their direct managers.

My extensive professional leadership experience means that I will hit the ground running as your mayor. I'll foster and require accountability, fiscal responsibility, and transparency.  I'm confident in my ability to protect the City's best interests while ensuring that we attract and retain excellent team members who provide the exceptional service that West Haven residents deserve.

Trust - When asked at the candidate event to describe myself in one word, the word I chose was Integrity. This is the most important trait your Mayor can have. I strive for honesty in everything I do. You can trust that when I make a promise, I’ll follow through. I will never expect or ask for special treatment for my family and friends. Our residents can trust that they will be treated fairly and that their interests come first. In addition, the employees will be able to trust my leadership as we work together to strengthen their ability to better serve you. 

Transparency - West Haven residents deserve 100% transparency 100% of the time, and I’m committed to deliver that to you. You deserve to know what is going on in your town and how you can make your voice heard. I’ll keep you informed and welcome your input and feedback.

Teamwork - I am a strong believer in teamwork. That starts with accountability and example. True leaders serve, not self-serve. Coach John Wooden said, “A strong leader accepts blame and gives the credit. A weak leader gives blame and accepts the credit." And that will be my model. I’ll build and support a winning team of residents, volunteers, business owners, city employees, and will work closely with elected and appointed officials to ensure that West Haven thrives under my leadership.
